Travel advice for Kriegistan.
The Glorious People’s Republic of Kriegistan welcomes visitors from across the world.
With such a large area covered by the country there are a wide variety of areas in which to travel.
For ease our travel advice is broken down into areas.
Travel to the former zone of confrontation is not recommended in any circumstances. Althought most of the waring parties agreed to the recent ceasefire, groups of disaffected soldiers and rebels are known to be active in these areas. See Crime and Violence section for further advice/information.
Southern Kriegistan
The South of Kriegistan is the most heavily populated area in the country, with the majority of its industry and farming. Almost 75% of the population [2001 census] lives in the South of Kriegistan.
The climate in the South is typically European, with summer temperatures often rising to 30 and winter temperatures dropping to -5. Rainfall is common, across the year, often leading to flooding and damage to roads and other transport infrastructure.
Northern Kriegistan
The North of the country is generally a barren waste land, the regional centre being Tyson a rough mining town. After the wave of natural disasters that hit the North, it was no surprise to many that fighting between the local factions would occur.
With the flooding of the North Eastern provinces, followed shortly after by the earthquake which devestated the regions nearby [North -West] of Tyson, it can truely be said that this area deserves the peace which it has recently experienced.
Self proclaimed region of Rumsby.
Near to Tyson, the breakaway region of Rumsby continues to claim its right to self government, refusing to listen to or obey the proclaimations of the government. So far the actions of the people of Rumsby has been peaceful [sometimes called the silent revolution] but it is widely expected that the government will take a more active role.
